How do I book an appointment?
Scheduling typically opens up every 3 to 4 months. Just head over to the Appointments tab above and fill out the application. Also follow the Tat215ive Instagram page for updates.
Do I need a deposit for an appointment?
Yes a deposit is required to lock in an appointment date. This deposit goes towards the final cost of your tattoo. If you need to reschedule, you may only do so once with at least 24 hours notice. If less than 24 hours notice, you will lose your deposit and another will be needed to set an appointment.
How much will my tattoo session cost?
Our shop minimum is $150 no matter the size. Mike, Paige, & Ryan usually charge by the hour please contact us about the rates of each artist.
What should I do before getting a tattoo?
Before getting tattooed all clients should definitely eat a meal and be properly hydrated. The light headed feeling or nauseous feeling some may experience during long sessions is caused by low blood sugar. Also please shower and dress appropriately for the area being tattooed.
Should I bring someone to the appointment with me?
We do not recommend bringing anyone with you to your appointment.
Will you draw my design so I can see it before my appointment?
We usually design the night before our appointments so our ideas and plans for your tattoo are fresh in our mind creatively. We will have your design ready to show you when you come in for your appointment. Any changes that need to be made will be done then. We tend to only take on projects that give us artistic freedom on the design.
Will you finish this work I got from another artist?
No, unfortunately we only work on fresh open skin or complete cover ups of existing tattoos.
I am going on vacation, is it okay if I go in the sun or in the pool/ocean after getting my new tattoo?
No, your tattoo needs to heal properly (21 days) before you go in the sun or in any kind of water. Please schedule your appointments accordingly.
Do you offer piercings?
No we do not offer piercings.
Do you have an age limit on getting tattooed?
Yes, you have to be 18+ in order to set an appointment with us.
Can I use numbing cream before my tattoo session?
No, please do not use any numbing creams as they tend to irritate the skin and make it harder for your artist to tattoo properly.
Can I get tattooed with minor sunburn?
No, absolutely no sun burn or any kind of skin irritation.
Do you have any artwork for sale?
Yes, our art gallery features art from local Philadelphia artists, along with world renowned tattoo artists, oil painters, graphic artists, and street artists.
